Sending Email Campaigns To Engage With Your Clients

I am often asked if sending out 'Email Campaigns' is really such a good thing as people are often complaining about the amount of junk mail they receive every day.

Well lets start with a positive note - You're not sending junk. I suppose it's a bit like weeds in the garden, they are only weeds if you don't like them and much the same can apply to emails. Providing you are sending information about your company, it's products and services, any changes that are happening and informing your subscribers about a company they recognise then they will no doubt be interested in whats going on. Email Campaigns allow you to build a relationship with your clients, which encourages loyalty and keeps you company in the forefront of their minds when it comes to making future purchases.

What should you put in your Email Campaigns

There are some important factors to think about when sending Email Campaigns to make sure that everyone benefits from them. If you are a business that sells products, it is a good idea to give details about any products you wish to promote, perhaps referring to information they may not have known about before. If you are offering services to your customers, perhaps services that are only called for occasionally, you can mention how you company has progressed, how the levels of service have improved even further than before and how other clients have benefitted from your services recently.

Sending Emails infrequently is not ideal if you wish to build a good relationship with your customer base. Decide on an interval that you feel will keep you customers engaged and one which allows you to send offers and 'enticements' that will be valued by them. As all the email templates we design for you have the forward to a friend option, you are allowing your own clients to do a bit of promotion work for you too, and so sharing any offers with others.

How To Get Your Email Subscribers

There are various ways of building your subscriber list. To begin with, you can add all your current clients that have made use of your services or purchased from you in the past. We can also add a subscribe form to your website pages to encourage visitors to your website pages to sign up for News and Offers. If your company has a Facebook Page, we can add a subscription form to the side bar making it easy for your Facebook likes to sign up too. You can also run offers that are exclusive to your Newsletter readers. Perhaps there could be a promo code in a Newsletter which would offer a discount. Offers like this can also prevent people from unsubscribing, as you may have something that will appeal to them in the future and they wouldn't want to miss the chance of a discount. It's also worth ensuring that any telephone enquiry forms you have include an email box so that you can note down the addresses of potential new clients. Do make them aware that they will be added to your mailing list, though it's also good to mention that they can unsubscribe at any time. All our Email templates include an unsubscribe link, and it makes it more comforting for people that are giving you their email addresses to know that they can cancel those emails at any time.

Using Emails To Build A Relationship With Your Customers.

Many companies simply focus on sending out 10's of thousands of emails each week just crammed full of offers and discounts. Clearly that system works for them as they would not invest all the time and energy required in doing that if it was not fruitful. It is, however, equally important - especially for small to medium sized businesses - to focus on the relationship with your customers. Sending Newsletters should after all include some element of news right! There is bound to be something that has happened recently or coming up soon that you can mention. Perhaps you have new or updated products, have been mentioned 'favourably' in the media somewhere, have introduced a new service or just have something you want to say. Your regular Newsletter is the place to do that and you can then include any offers you wish to make to round the whole thing off. Including links to your website's home page and pages that are relevant to the content within your news letter, will make interaction between your clients and your website a slick operation.
