A Domain is simply the address on the internet of your website. It is the part after the three w's. So you are here at our web address of nialtoservices.co.uk.
The choice of domain endings or extensions seems to be growing more and more and as well as the usual .com - .co.uk - .net - .org - .me we now have a host of others to contend with too. The majority of the other domains are for people who want a particular web address that is no longer available with one of the usual 'endings'. Adding a new extension means that more domains become available again.
It's best to stick with the popular ones if your site is for business use although if it is for personal or club use, the choice is yours to make. The purchase and annual registration of domains varies so it's best to check with us first before you decide.
Domains are from around £7.50 per year but some of the newer domains can be £60 or £70 per year. You can use our simple domain checker to see if there is something that you like out there.
Remember though, that the only valid characters for a domain name are letters, numbers and a hyphen. Special characters like the underscore "_" or "&" are NOT permitted. Domain names cannot contain spaces or begin or end with a hyphen, "-". Domain names can be up to 63 characters long including the 4 characters used to identify the Top Level Domain (i.e., .co.uk, .NET, .COM, .ORG, or .EDU etc...
